Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been given a cake makeover for the Cake and Bake Show 2019.

The masterpiece was unveiled today as the show opened at the ExCel convention centre in London.

The life-sized creation was made by star of Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, Rosie Dummer. It is chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting, covered in chocolate ganache.

The Prime Minister was persuaded to go on the zip wire to celebrate Team GB’s first gold medal at the games — however, he ground steadily to a halt on the wire, about 20ft in the air, and was left dangling for around five minutes.

She said: “For me, 2012 was the best year Britain ever had. We had the Olympics and the Jubilee — everyone was just on fire and it was a really happy time.

“I hope he finds it funny. I think he would as he has a good sense of humour. I don’t know if he knows about it but I would be more than happy to take a slice round to him.”
