Sprout haters can breathe a sigh of relief this Christmas after a Birmingham confectionary-inspired theme park created a festive roast dinner made entirely out of chocolate.

The Cadbury World Christmas dinner is made purely of chocolate and includes a handmade turkey, 13 pigs in blankets, 12 roast potatoes, 11 parsnips, nine carrots, six brussels sprouts, a vegetarian wellington and chocolate gravy.

A carefully curated second course has also been included, featuring a Christmas pudding decorated with holly leaves and a gold shimmering pot of brandy butter and mince pies, all accompanied by a red Christmas cracker.

Chocolatiers carved large blocks of milk chocolate to form the shape of the turkey, which was then enhanced with coloured cocoa butter and edible luster.

The Christmas confectionary weighs 30kg – the equivalent of 667 standard Cadbury Dairy Milk bars – and is 70cm wide.

The showstopper took the chocolatiers at Cadbury World four days to make by hand.

“I am always amazed by the talent of the chocolatiers here at Cadbury World, the creativity and skill that went into making the terrific turkey is truly unbelievable and never fails to impress me.”

The chocolate creation will be on display for visitors to see at Cadbury World in Bournville from December 11 to 31.
