This US steakhouse is at the centre of a heated debate because we all love a good conspiracy theory

Even if there is no truth in it.

An Australian-themed American restaurant chain has inadvertently become the focus of a hilarious internet conspiracy theory.

An *investigation* by Twitter user @eatmyaesthetics into the Outback Steakhouse’s locations has people asking all kinds of questions about the *real* intentions of the popular steakhouse.

The layout of the restaurant chain in several cities appears to bear an uncanny resemblance to a pentagram.

In case you are wondering, a pentagram is a symbol used in Wiccan practice and in ancient cultures. Many cultures also associate the star with evil and Satan.

And of course, the internet needs answers.

But let’s be honest, a restaurant chain with almost 1,000 locations in 23 countries is bound to form some sort of a shape when you connect the venues on a map.

And to be fair, @eatmyaesthetics appears to have rehashed an old internet meme.

But of course, that won’t stop us from looking for meaning in patterns when there are none.
