Two-tier check-in parking

WITH reference to the possible loss of 200 long-term parking spaces, especially if Condor introduced its 102m. trimaran, as Captain Chad Murray has said, I wonder how many people, like me, were disappointed at the time of the building of the QEII parking area that two-tier level parking was missed.

Presumably these spaces would be required for vehicle check-in and would therefore be empty for most of the time.

Would it not be feasible to build a two- or three-tier check-in area, not unlike the vehicle area of the vessel itself, on the existing check-in area?

A flat rooftop area could accommodate seating, viewing and kiosk areas, making an already rather dull looking area a little more pleasant?
