Politicians have lost sight of their purpose

EARLIER this year I attended the funerals of two old friends, Peter Morgan and Laurie Morgan, both of whom served in the States of Guernsey with distinction.

I imagine that they are turning in their graves at the antics of their successors, who seem to have lost sight of the purpose for which they were elected.

It is long overdue that someone in authority bangs their heads together so that normal service can be resumed before the island’s voters lose any remaining respect they might have for the current crop of juvenile delinquents posturing as politicians.
