Don’t leave recycling on the ground

I OFTEN visit the recycling site in St Peter’s – as I pass every day and have limited space at home, it is very handy.

It does annoy me though when I see people who take bags there and leave all their tins, jars, etc. on the ground. For what reason would you do that? It does not take long to empty them. Sometimes I have even done it myself.

Only this weekend, I have seen someone has left a vacuum cleaner and tea set there. If that was you, shame on you.

Surely at some time you would be passing the recycling depot in Bulwer Avenue or you know someone who could take it for you. It is these people who spoil it for others who recycle properly when the bins get taken away.

If there is anyone who does this and would like to explain what the reason is for doing this, please do.
