Better TV coverage is needed

GIVEN that the world has been hit by what is being described as a global pandemic and the need for news has never been so vital, would it not be possible for the States of both Guernsey and Jersey to put some pressure on both the BBC and ITV to give greater coverage of the situation within the Channel Islands?

Published

The BBC gave no details of the situation here for almost three days, and on ITV on Sunday evening only about three minutes was crammed in between adverts for holidays. We need daily coverage, not the odd mention.

It is a good job the islands have pretty good newspaper coverage, or we would have little idea of what is going on.

Something needs to change, and fast.
