Alderney trip was awesome

We too stayed at Villa Mondrian, which was a great place to stay, very reasonably priced and nothing was too much trouble for owners Lisa and Trevor. We met Zoe and husband on our way out for dinner on our last night; they were going to the French restaurant and we were going to Mai Thai, purely because we had met the charming lady chef Aoei Kanta in Jack’s for breakfast that morning and she kindly booked us a table.

Everyone we met was really friendly and helpful, including The Bike & Surf Shop, Richard at Jack’s Bistro, the shop assistants, staff in restaurants and bars, Roland at Alderney Wildlife Trust, the people who opened up their wonderful gardens, Dougal from Quay FM for putting up with us at the end of our sunrise walks and playing our requests, also Alderney Shipping for getting us there on Spike Islander (great trip) and getting us back on time on Access Challenger.

The whole Alderney experience is highly recommended. We shall return.
