I READ with interest the letter from Graham Guille (former Housing board member) in your newspaper on 30 October and concur totally with his concerns.

I feel that the revised Population Management regime is not working for islanders and needs urgent review.

It was an issue I raised with prospective candidates at the recent election and found that most did not have it on their radar.

It seems inconceivable that taxpayers are funding generous relief packages for States employees coming to work here while islanders find themselves on the back foot when entering the overheated property and rental markets.

I sincerely hope that steps will be taken to ensure that young islanders will still have a future in the place of their birth.
