Advice on SMS text messages from Sure

DID you know that to receive SMS text messages from Sure while roaming one must be on a 2G or 3G network?

You probably did not as not all their support staff know this. As one does not know when a message is coming through it restricts the network choice and speed.

Watch out too if your phone is an iPhone and SMS is in blue, it is iMessaging which does not use Sure SMS so they advise to either take the phone to the shop or report the issue to Apple.

Actually, they sell them in their shop, so be warned.

With 5G on the horizon, and an increase in online companies requiring confirmation of a code sent by SMS, it would seem problems have to be ironed out prior to launch so stick to 3G until you can launch a system that actually works and is compatible.
