There is a problem with Travel Tracker

THERE IS a problem with the Guernsey Travel Tracker that your readers should be aware of.

I carefully put in our travel details just prior to our returning from London recently, but it kept saying: ‘Error, incorrect details’. The Tracker does not tell you what the error is.

My mistake was when I in-putted the long number from our Covid jabs letter, I did not put in the dashes (-).

Often when inputting for banking or telephone number they do not like symbols.

The problem is that the Tracker does not say something like ‘incorrect number’, it lets you carry on putting in more details until the end, and then says ‘Error’.

The worst part is that all of your data, yes all, has to be re-entered.

Also as a warning when we went to Wimbledon with our Guernsey double jab letter, initially they would not let us in.

‘Sorry! this is an NHS event and this is not an NHS form, we do not recognise it’.

So when travelling abroad, Guernsey people might need to be prepared for some ‘jobsworth’ on a border not liking your letter.
