Business park site is crying out to be used

THE jobs advert recently placed in the Press for a range of staff needed to continue the successful business development of the Offshore Electronics, which now has more than 60 staff, made me look up its history: https://www.offshore-electronics.co.uk/about/history

Given the global dominance of Chinese manufacturing, it is fantastic to learn that little old Guernsey can still compete in such a core business area as electronics and how Offshore Electronics has grown over the past 21 years.

But why aren’t there more businesses like this here on the island?

After all, we have a large unused business park site off the Route Militaire, complete with traffic lights already installed, just crying out to be used for this and other enterprising non-finance businesses.

Yet I can’t see anything about the development of such businesses in the Government Work Plan. Or am I not looking in the right place?
