How can they get it so wrong?
I WAS very surprised to see the headline in Saturday’s Press (26 March 2022)Predicted £33m. deficit turns into £13m. surplus. How can the powers that be get it so wrong? When we are being asked to find £85m., can we believe this figure?

It seem that when a project is being looked at and it is estimated at between £30m. and £50m. we are always looking at the worst case scenario. Would it not be better to take the middle line and estimate it at £40m.?
It seems to me that our States and civil servants don’t have much of a clue when it comes to our taxpayers' money.
