Frossard House site should be used for housing

I CONCEDE that the Frossard House site would be a good place for badly needed housing though the large car park which I proposed there would no longer be possible.

With such a large footprint and even with two levels of parking underneath, a building, not as high as Cour du Parc, would accommodate a great number of flats mostly with quite pleasant aspects.

However, I would have thought that the site further down Charroterie on the opposite side of the road would be an equally good place to build a be a multi-level car park or even a second Cour du Parc. Either way both sites are completely wasted at present.

With it being next to a high rise already and at the bottom of a valley/hill, I think this is probably the best place on the island for additional high rise flats. It is in keeping with the area. GFC fan

It’s at the bottom of the hill to the National Park, so why not? It won’t be long before SPP is fully classified as part of the Northern Industrial Park anyway, rather than them thinking they may be able to become members of the National Park. Maybe we should just concentrate building the horrible stuff in the North and then when the tide comes up in 20-30 years’ time it will disappear under the sea along with all the riff raff leaving a lovely retirement park. gypoppy

A good place to build more houses, the car park is a complete waste of space at present, and should be moved underground and paid parking introduced. Hopefully this proposal will go through.

Good, civil servants can endure the same parking hassles as private sector workers and maybe, just maybe, it will mean that somebody in the States makes the enlightened decision to build a low-rise, sympathetic, three-storey car park on the North Beach. Emile Julou
