We need to conserve land for food production
While building on a green field site is financially and practically attractive to the States, world events should be showing them that we may very well need to conserve every last vergee for food production. How desperate is the need for essential worker housing? Perhaps if agreement was made to move the dairy sooner rather than later, the present site could be used to provide these accommodation units. Alternatively, should the provision of housing trump the provision of a new dairy then why not build on the Best’s Brickfield site?
