When will Post Office finally be taken to task?
Re: Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
I admit that after ITV started showing the four-part programme, I had a suspicion that it would stir up some emotions from viewers, and that certainly did not fail to convey anger and sympathy for the unjust actions taken by greedy individuals.
Episode one nearly had me in tears with a mixture of anger and heartfelt sadness.
Even episode four, whereby some mileage was achieved, we were all left with a feeling that much, much more needs to be achieved before the victims of this atrocious scam are anywhere near being properly compensated.
Some people are now deceased, some had taken their own life due to the utter torment and ridicule from neighbours etc, and those who believed they were all ‘on the take’ from the Post Office.
Before this matter can come anywhere close to a conclusion I hope that as many people as possible fight for the UK government to pull their fingers out and ensure that every single individual subpostmaster receives suitable compensation, and in many cases, pardons for jail sentences that were imposed.
When will the Post Office finally be taken to task and individuals be made to pay for lies, deceit and wrongdoing of the very highest order?
Their individual and collective crimes are as sickening as they are repulsive.
