Why can’t there be caravan parks for locals?
I WAS watching a news programme on Majorca, where islanders have the same problem as here, they can’t afford to rent or buy. They are allowed to rent camper vans, at an acceptable price, and there are designated areas where they can park them, and also at the side of certain roads. Many properties here have room for a camper van or caravans, if a son or daughter wanted to get married and start a family, such would be a good starting home. Why can’t there be caravan parks for locals, in discreet areas so as they are not obtrusive? Of course, Guernsey laws do not allow this. There are ways to help the situation.
