Why are we still allowing duty-free tobacco products into Guernsey?
RECENTLY it was announced that lung cancer was the biggest killer in Guernsey. The question must therefore be asked, why are we still allowing duty-free tobacco products into Guernsey? While local purchases carry a tax which helps pay for our hospital and medical specialists, duty-free purchases contribute nothing. Perhaps P&R, HSC and Guernsey Border Agency might like to offer an opinion on this?
