Has the UK become an ‘unreliable boyfriend’?

WHAT constitutional crisis? Will the UK or won’t they tear up the Northern Ireland Protocol? By threatening to pass legislation in Westminster that would abrogate the UK’s international treaty obligations under the protocol, is the UK just playing a really smart card to put maximum pressure on the EU to renegotiate and agree (another) last-minute compromise that avoids an EU-UK trade war? Or does this just make the UK an unreliable international partner, irrespective of whether or not such a ploy works? And why does any of this matter to us in the Channel Islands anyway?
