Beere, who did well to qualify for the knockout stage of the Atlantic championships in Cyprus, looked certain to book a place in the semi-finals when she led Ireland's Catherine McMillen, 14-7 after 13 ends.
'I made a lethal tactical error, she put up a series of long jacks, and I scored only two more singles, while Catherine powered to a 21-16 victory,' admitted Beere.
'I must admit I was heartbroken,' she added.
