Watson wins in Nantes

HEATHER WATSON progressed into the quarter-finals of the Open GDF SUEZ Nantes Atlantique with ease yesterday.

Spaniard Leticia Costas-Moreira took just a single game off the number two seed, who wrapped up victory in less than an hour.

After the match, Watson tweeted: 'Played really well today and won 6-0, 6-1. Have a day off tomorrow and will play my quarter-final on Friday.'

The Guernsey girl will now face fifth seed Iryna Bremond, the world No. 101, who defeated fellow French player Victoria Larriere 6-3, 7-5 yesterday.
