SIX Guernsey players have been selected to play for England in next summer's World Series Indoor Nets in Australia after a weekend of final trials in London.
Of the 36 senior players selected for the senior men's and women's squads, five of them are Sarnians, while 14-year-old Alice Gallienne (pictured) also turned in a eye-catching performance to become the youngest member of the under-21 squad.
Donna Brehaut, Naomi Taylor, James Robert, Phil Sweet and Rob Jennings were the others selected for the national team, with the tournament to take place in June 2012 in Brisbane on the Australian east coast.
They will now travel back and forth to the UK every fortnight in the build-up to the tournament against the hosts, New Zealand and South Africa, while also undertaking training in Guernsey.
