APPLEBY 8s proved their dominance of the indoor cricket arena once again after thrashing Rovers to win the Division One title on finals day at the ICG.

Bowling first, Appleby restricted Rovers to 68, with Mitch Le Tissier top scoring with 17 in the final partnership alongside Adam Martel, which also happened to be Rovers' best contribution.

They were let down by a poor second skin, where Lucas Barker and Toby Smale could only add one run, thanks to losing four wickets during that time to man-of-the-match Josh Kirk, the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for minus four runs.

And that contrasted to Applebys' efforts with the bat, where they consistently scored down the order.
