Fourth-placed Guernsey travel to second-from-bottom Trojans tomorrow knowing a win would push them further up the table as the two sides immediately above them – Old Elthamians and Sidcup – face each other at the same time.
'To be third on Saturday would be one of the best Christmas presents ever,' said coach Reynolds, who admitted that after his side's third defeat of the season at Portsmouth in October, they were staring mid-table mediocrity in the face.
Since that loss, though, Guernsey have gone on a run of five successive victories while the teams at the top have faltered.
