Savident could miss out on Singapore trip

LEE SAVIDENT is waiting on the results of a scan on a lower back injury that could rule him out of February's vital World Cricket League Division Five tournament.

The former Hampshire all-rounder played a pivotal role in Guernsey's successful Division Six campaign in September in Malaysia where he opened the batting and bowling throughout the round-robin stage.

However, he was in discomfort throughout that event and missed out on the final.

Since returning to Guernsey, he played three games of indoor cricket in early October, but has been unable to do anything active since and has been in constant pain for the last four weeks.
