THE three-horse race for the Legis Division One title has been gathering pace and is now fast approaching a gallop.

A deserved first win of the season for Focus over the previously unbeaten Le Mont Saint last week proved that all the top-flight sides are capable of beating each other and each should fancy their chances of finishing top of the pile.

That Focus's dramatic 55-54 victory came on the back of a comprehensive defeat to the same opposition in their previous outing, which on paper they should have had the better chance of winning out of the two games, underlines that perfectly.

Now they will be looking to follow up that first win tomorrow night as they face champions Panthers, whose coach Pat Ogier praised the efforts of Focus in the first top-flight game of the new year.
