PHIL OGIER pulled off a noteworthy come-from-behind win against Garry Dodd, but it was not enough to prevent the CI table tennis champion topping the Guernsey qualifiers for the Open CI Top 12.

Dodd's solitary defeat of the hectic evening schedule came in round seven of nine, with Ogier recovering from 2-1 down to claim the two points on his way to third place.

Alice Loveridge also suffered just one defeat on the night as she lost a five-setter to Dodd in finishing second by virtue of having conceded just one set more than the top man over the nine rounds.

Scott Romeril and Olly Langlois were comfortable qualifiers in fourth and fifth place respectively, both on 15 points, while Paul Hainsworth claimed the final spot in the finals, one point ahead of Liam Robilliard.
