Leaders given a tough test

A LAST ditch effort saw the current Division Two leaders, Nerine D, stealing a win off ABN Amro.

The red-and-blacks had led by just a few goals at the beginning, but had allowed ABN to stay in the game and equalise halfway through the last quarter.

But a strong performance in the final minutes by the Nerine attack gave them the confidence to continue pushing and make the turnovers.

ABN had shown promise from the first whistle and were quick to score on their centre pass. Then, gaining possession from a Nerine missed shot, they went two goals up.
