Straight six Dodd wraps up third CI Top 12 crown

GARRY DODD successfully retained his prestigious Channel Islands Top 12 crown at the Geoff Reed Table Tennis Centre at the FB Fields in Jersey.

The tournament is widely regarded as the toughest to win due to the number of games that are played across each island's respective qualification event and, finally, the inter-island encounters.

Dodd has been the main man in CI table tennis for the past few years, having first claimed this trophy back in 2007, aged just 16.

The title may have evaded him for three years, but, having regained it last year in Guernsey, he had no intention of letting the trophy slip from his grasp this time around.
