FOUR-GOAL Craig Young fired Bels into the Stranger Cup final and with it gave the old 'Banques boys' a second chance to end their season with a major trophy to show for their season's efforts.

Glyn Smith's side are also still 'alive' in the Jeremie and the scoreline from The Track suggests they made this particular final with ease. Not quite. Although they created by far the greater chances, Vale Rec were still in it when Sean Mills headed a fine goal with 11 minutes play to halve the deficit.

At that moment there will have been concern in the Bels camp that they might be about to waste their dominance, but within a minute of Mills' goal Young poked in a loose ball from a yard out and Vale were finally done for.

In stoppage time impressive young substitute left-back Lewis Germain picked out Young with a superb 40-yard ball from left to right and the island striker gave the scoreline a more realistic look.
