GUERNSEY coach Jordan Reynolds is hoping previous experience will enable his side to convert their top spot in London One South into winning the title.

After thrashing Portsmouth 53-0 at Footes Lane on Saturday, the Sarnians received an unexpected boost when league leaders Chichester lost 14-13 at Hove, seeing Reynolds' side leapfrog them.

The player-coach himself scored two tries at the weekend and believes that Chichester's slip-up illustrates how well his own side are playing.

'It kind of looks like the wheels are coming off for Chichester, they have had a couple of slip-ups lately,' he said.

'It is great news for us, we were expecting to take top spot after we play them next month, but to get it earlier is a bonus.
