GUERNSEY are another step closer to regaining the EH Trophy.

The Greens beat Sutton Coldfield 4-1 in Saturday's hockey quarter-final at Footes Lane to take their place in the last four, with captain Matt Watson scoring twice and the other goals coming from David Morris and Josh Kendal.

'We are confident,' said the skipper about his side's chances of repeating 2009's success in the competition.

'As I have said before, we feel we are as strong if not stronger than we were when we won the trophy.

'We are not a team of individuals. Everyone understands they are part of a side and are prepared to work hard for the team.'
