DARYL TAPP joins the ranks of double-capped island sports stars when he plays in tomorrow's Gilson Cup badminton clash at the Rohais Hall.

Tapp, who made nine Muratti appearances between 1984 and 1993, has been chosen to partner Danny Felbabel as Guernsey's third men's pair, and with island women's champion Charlotte Barnes, in the mixed.

Island selector John Stuart expects another close encounter and, as has become the norm, little pre-match information has come out of the Caesarean camp, other than that the highly-capable Kerry Coombs-Goodfellow is injured and misses the match.

Guernsey have suffered five defeats in the last six clashes with Jersey, the other being drawn.
