Udal cannot wait

SHAUN UDAL last night revealed that the first GPL had exceeded all his expectations and believes that the second will build on that success.

The former England international was in Guernsey yesterday for the player auction that saw the four franchise squads finalised for the 2012 tournament to be played in June and July at Port Soif.

'The commitment that was shown last year in the inaugural competition was brilliant.

'Hopefully the same sort of commitment will be shown again this year.'
