A LAST minute comeback denied the Sarnians under 16 netballers of victory in Jersey at the weekend.

The green-and-whites had been leading throughout the game but a last push from the Jersey girls and unforced mistakes saw the hosts take the game 41-38.

In a weekend when Jersey won every game, Guernsey's best chance of victory perhaps lied in the hands of the youngsters – many of who were part of an under-14 squad who won the inter-insular last year and in 2010.

The Sarnians started the game positively taking their opportunities to score when provided.
