TOBYN HORTON finished his Vuelta Mexico campaign strongly with a sixth-place finish in the eighth and final stage, losing out in a sprint to winner Juan Esteban Arango.

However, the Sarnian admitted he was disappointed at not getting on the podium for the third time in the week for Team Raleigh, having previously picked up a second and third place.

The nature of being a specialist sprinter saw him finish 85th overall in the tour's final classifications and fourth among his own team.

Local cyclist Matt Osborn was delighted to come out on top of his own sprint for home to win the feature race of the Beyond Springs criterium in Hillingdon in London.
