ALISON MERRIEN is through to another women's Bowls World Cup final.

This morning at the Warilla Club in New South Wales the Guernsey star beat the leading Australian Karen Murphy 10-7, 3-6, 5-4.

One man particularly happy with the result was David Allen, the editor of an online bowls magazine.

Ahead of her semi-final showdown he predicted nobody could touch the Sarnian.

'Alison is in career-best form - can't see anyone, not even Jo Edwards, beating her. She hasn't put a foot wrong since South Africa's Tracy-Lee Botha let her off the hook in round four.'
