Watson going up in world

HEATHER WATSON'S recent run to the third round of the Sony Ericsson Open has seen her rise 14 places to world No. 115 in the latest rankings list.

The 19-year-old defeated world No. 25 Lucie Safarova in that run in Miami, before losing to number one Victoria Azarenka, but that climb sees her back as the British number three.

However, she will likely drop again in the near future after falling at the first hurdle of qualifying at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston.
