GILL QUERIPEL believes that her Nerine A team deserved better after losing out in this year's netball 'Upton' to Convent A.

The Guernsey champions eventually fell 46-33 at Beau Sejour, with the Caesareans running away with it in the last quarter, Nerine having pulled it back to within four goals at one point.

Queripel admitted it was a lack of clinical finishing and a killer edge that cost her team come full-time.

'I thought that we had the best of the court play throughout the game and the scoreline was probably not that fair,' she said.

'The difference in the end was that we don't get enough off-island competition, which is something that we must address.'
