But the injury-plagued 400m star admits he has a mountain to climb to get into the sort of shape he would need to run himself into contention for a place in the Great Britain 4 x 400m relay squad in London this August.
'I've still got two months to do the best I can and miracles do happen,' said the London-based runner whose winter preparations were going fine until he was struck down by severe shin splints in December.
It's been a mentally tough three months, admitted the Guernsey star, who has been 'smashing myself to pieces' on a training bike.
