Dodd overcomes his jitters for title No. 4

ALICE LOVERIDGE should take the plaudits for her four CI titles in one busy night at the GTTA Centre, but almost inevitably it was the men's singles showdown which silenced the busy gallery and focused the eyes.

And, after several nervous moments and six sets, Garry Dodd again took home the bacon to land his fourth straight CI championship.

But this was no regular Dodd performance.

While Loveridge largely sailed through her four finals and allowed her singles opponent, Jersey champion Josie Marshall, just 16 points over four sets, Dodd was not his normal self - ragged, nervous and distracted.
