MIKE SERAFIN came out on top of a heavily-reduced race to win the opening Delancey Park criterium of the season.

In the first of eight races that make up a points table throughout the summer, only four senior men riders were on show in tricky damp conditions, Serafin being joined by Leon Ogier, Jon Beck and Dan Heardley.

There was only one winner of the 15 minutes plus five laps contest from the moment Serafin opened up a sizeable lead within the first couple of laps, leaving Ogier in his wake.

Beck and Heardley enjoyed their own little battle throughout, with Beck eventually coming over the line in third, but it was Serafin that stood out.
