Le Noury breaks 10-mile best

JAYNE LE NOURY walked to a new personal best time in the 10 miles road walk held from Pleinmont to L'Ancresse.

In hot conditions she crossed the line ahead of Rose Druckes in a time of 1hr 57min. 23sec., in the women's championship, 15 seconds better than her previous time.

Second home Druckes removed minutes off her recent age best with a 2-10-46 clocking.

Phil Lockwood was first home in the men's championship in 1-34-26, walking fairly even five-mile splits after passing halfway in just under 47 minutes.
