ST SAVIOUR'S blew a great start as they went down to St Pierre by six runs in another tight Division One game at the KGV.

Chasing 129 for victory in the mandatory 16 overs for this time of the season, the light-blues seemed to be cruising at 87 for one after 10.

Left-hander R. Wilson and M. Thornton had added 50 for the second wicket at that point and the required rate was at a very manageable seven an over. And not only that, the outcricket of the very young St Pierre side was temporarily falling apart with a succession of misfields or dropped catches.

But then Carl Le Tissier, pressed into emergency action for the night, produced the telling spell of bowling.
