Bowlers to get double the chances of a medal

GUERNSEY bowls' new formula for the format of future Commonwealth Games has been accepted.

Following the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the Commonwealth Games Federation requested World Bowls to review the games' playing format.

After inviting comments from all the playing countries it was the Guernsey suggestions that were fully adopted.

The recommendations have now been rubber-stamped by the CGF Sport Committee and will be officially adopted later in the year.
