HEATHER WATSON is through to the French Open main draw after a stunning display saw her defeat Anna Floris yesterday.
In the final round of qualifying at Roland Garros, the 20-year-old Sarnian destroyed the experienced Italian 6-0, 6-1 in less than an hour.
The Sarnian will have to wait to see which of the 12 qualifying spots she has been allocated and who she will face in the first round. However, if she gets hit with bad luck, her opponent could be one of Marion Bartoli, Ana Ivanovic or Angelique Kerber, all ranked in the world's top 13.
