WANDERERS ensured they ended their domestic cricket weekend campaign on a winning note after cruising past Elizabeth College on Saturday.

On a familiar slow and low batting track, College's 177 in the first innings looked fairly competitive, but in the end it was far too short as Wanderers crossed the line with 92 balls and seven wickets to spare.

Richard Veillard and James Gale both hit impressive half-centuries at the College Field, while young Jason Martin also looked good as he began to cut lose at the end of the chase.

It means they finish with one win from their four JT GCA Championship games, while College are still winless with just an encounter with Argylls remaining.
