GUERNSEY PANTHERS have been born as the senior island team look to compete regularly at national level from next season.
In a similar vein to the footballers of Guernsey FC, the Guernsey Netball Association has decided to register their top players as a club team in order to travel across to the UK.
Eventually re-entering a UK league is a possibility, explained GNA member and joint senior island coach Gill Queripel, pictured, who is heavily behind the re-branding.
'The senior team are not ready for that just yet, they are still rebuilding, but it is on the cards for the under-14s and under-16s,' she said.
