CHRIS HAMON is the latest big name in the Guernsey FC ranks as he becomes the Green Lions' official goalkeeping coach ahead of the new season.

The former Vale Rec and Guernsey star, one of the finest keepers the island has produced, has remained heavily involved in the game since winning 13 Muratti caps during the 1970s and 1980s.

He is delighted to be linking up with first-choice No. 1 Chris Tardif again, as well as understudy Paul de Garis and Hamon's own teenage son James, who has also been involved.

'I will be helping to develop them in any way that they see fit,' Hamon explained.
