JEREMY FRITH hit the highest score of his career with an unbeaten 207 as Cobo Tigers ended the short GCA Championship series with a 41-run win over ORs at King George V Field.

Frith's previous best has been 148 scored while playing for Northcote CC against Melbourne CC in the winter of 1996-97 in Australia.

That effort took him a marathon six-and-a-half hours and he will be the first to admit that his first double-century, a rarity in island cricket, was not against the most testing of bowling attacks on another belter of a KGV wicket.

'It was nice to get some time in the middle on a very good pitch,' he said afterwards.
